In a beautiful location nestled within the Axe Valley only 5 minutes drive from The Jurassic coastline of Lyme Regis and Charmouth, and only a few minutes away from River Cottage HQ and Canteen, as well as Hix's Oyster Restaurant overlooking the historic Cobb in Lyme Regis, made famous by the film The French Lieutenant's woman.Charmouth is only 4 miles away from Shepherds Knapp. This endearing and unspoilt seaside village is part of the Jurassic coastline, a world Heritage site. On the beach there is a Heritage centre museum and fossil hunting trips offered daily to explore this world known site where the likes of Mary Anning and Barney Hansford have found some of the most famous fossils. You can see the tallest point along the coast from the beach, the Golden Cap. The centre of the village has a few shops and pubs with a post office and childrens park. Well worth a visit!
